The Second Round

OK, I'm going to do it this time. We've been given a second chance, and what would life be like without second chances? This time, I think I need to schedule a block of time each day/week? to work on this. It is too easy to put this on the back burner and say I have too much work to do. But I made this a goal that shows up in my evaluation at work, so maybe that will make it seem more imperative.

Nothing to do on a Friday night?

I just spent a bit of my precious Friday night creating an avatar at Yahoo.com. It was an entertaining way to spend a half hour or so. After I put up my first creation, a perky little woman on rollerblades on a sunny palm tree laden path, I realized that she didn't fit the outerspace theme I have going on my blog. So it was back to yahoo to find more appropriate attire and background.

I might investigate to see if there are any other free avatar sites besides yahoo. I'd like one that isn't quite so cartoonish.

The purpose of this blog is to document my foray into cyberspace, specifically into that mysterious portion of it called Web 2.0. It will be a grand adventure, and I hope to emerge from this trip a wiser and more intrepid traveler into virtual places.
