Too funny!!!! - Thing 25

This is just too funny!! I was looking at some of the links in the Blogger's Toolkit of Thing 25. One really caught my interest. It's the Typealyzer. Type in your blog URL and the Typealyzer looks at the writing on your blog and assigns your Myer-Briggs personality type.

So I tried it and it called me an ESTP (a Do-er). "The active and playful type. They are especially attuned to people and things around them and often full of energy, talking, joking and engaging in physical out-door activities...The Doers are happiest with action-filled work which craves their full attention and focus. They might be very impulsive and more keen on starting something new than following it through. They might have a problem with sitting still or remaining inactive for any period of time."

As far as I can remember, last time I was tested, I was an INFJ. The total opposite. Interesting, to say the least.

I've been feeling like a total couch potato this winter, so I would love to be an energy filled ESTP. Maybe I need to start visualizing myself as "active and playful..."

Thing 24 - Time to move on....

It would be easy for me to explore Thing 24 forever. It is a personal tendency of mine to want to do things perfectly and thoroughly, but that can result in never getting anything done. Therefore, I'm going to declare Thing 24 finished for now. This universe is too huge to spend too much time in any one place. I've got too much exploring to do.

Got my avatar back!!!!

OK. After fiddling around for 45 minutes, and reading help screens and googling my question, I finally figured out how to get my avatar back. It turns out that the terminology "Add a widget" has replaced "Add a page element." I needed to choose to add an html widget and paste my avatar html code from Yahoo into that.

In the process of all that, I ended up going back to my old template. I really liked it best anyway.

How do I put avatar back on my blog?

OK. I'm thoroughly frustrated. I created a new avatar in Yahoo, and now I can't figure out how to add it to my blog. When I'm on the Layout tab, I don't see a "add new page element" link!!!??

Guess I'll come back to this later. Time to go home.

Third time's the charm!!!

I didn't get too far in round one, and got nowhere in round two. So now round three is giving me yet another opportunity to waste time (I mean, spend quality time) learning about all the cool web 2.0 out there. I just got a new computer at home with a cool 22 inch monitor, so maybe I'll give up some of my precious home life to this, rather than my non-discretionary work time, LOL.

The Second Round

OK, I'm going to do it this time. We've been given a second chance, and what would life be like without second chances? This time, I think I need to schedule a block of time each day/week? to work on this. It is too easy to put this on the back burner and say I have too much work to do. But I made this a goal that shows up in my evaluation at work, so maybe that will make it seem more imperative.

I just spent a bit of my precious Friday night creating an avatar at Yahoo.com. It was an entertaining way to spend a half hour or so. After I put up my first creation, a perky little woman on rollerblades on a sunny palm tree laden path, I realized that she didn't fit the outerspace theme I have going on my blog. So it was back to yahoo to find more appropriate attire and background.

I might investigate to see if there are any other free avatar sites besides yahoo. I'd like one that isn't quite so cartoonish.
